Wraps, smoothies and other healthful meals are available all over Dallas, but until Start opened on upper Greenville Avenue, you had to get out of your car to get them. This new “real food fast” concept pairs scratch cooking with convenience in a way that lets you pound a burger quickly without feeling guilty. The beef is the grass-fed, free-range type you’d usually encounter at high-end restaurants, and the eggs come from the cage-free chickens of Vital Farms. The bread is baked at Empire Bakery and the whole-wheat tortillas come from Luna. Four dollars may seem like a lot to ask for a small breakfast burrito, but when it’s filled with eggs cooked perfectly to order, crunchy bacon and cheddar that’s good enough for a cheese boards, you won’t mind the price tag.
